The Kulanu program will primarily be an online educational program, consisting of two tracks of online learning, the Kulanu Track and the Touro University Track.
The Kulanu Track will be exploring some of the most fundamental aspects of Judaism, such as: The Weekly Parsha (Torah Portion), The Jewish Holidays, The Meaning and Basics of Shabbat, The State of Israel, The Art of Jewish Prayer and much more! The goal of our learning will be to create a foundation of Jewish knowledge that allows our students to become more active and thoughtful Jews who are life-long learners.
The Touro University Track will provide students with the opportunity to learn Jewish History and/or Hebrew Language in a fun and engaging way, while receiving college credits at the same time.
All Kulanu students will be able to enroll in the Kulanu Track, but there will be an additional admissions process for those looking to also enroll in any of the Touro University courses.
Approximately once a month, we will be running an in-person event that involves some learning, but is mostly geared towards building the social fabric of our cohort in a fun, chilled, and exciting setting. Some of our in-person events will include activities such as: Amusement parks, bowling, professional sports games, ropes course/zip lining, trampoline parks, water tubing and so on.
In addition to the in-person events during the week, we will also have social get-togethers throughout the year over Shabbat (often referred to as a “Shabbaton”). These will be great opportunities to enjoy good food, games, and some Shabbat spirit as one Kulanu community.
